BYD Seal is a pure electric vehicle under the BYD brand, which adopts the BYD e-platform 3.0
The seal is built on the BYD e-platform 3.0 technology platform and will adopt a series of BYD’s latest technologies, including battery body integration (CTB), eight in one electric powertrain, heat pump system, and boost fast charging. It can improve the overall torsional stiffness and dynamic response of the vehicle, providing users with a better experience in handling and safety. In addition, the rear wheel drive/four-wheel drive power architecture, front double wishbone+rear five link chassis suspension and other configurations mean that the seal has extremely strong sports attributes.
The new car adopts a maritime aesthetic design style, with the entire center console undulating like waves. In addition, the car also uses a small “energy crystal” electronic gear lever. The car is equipped with a camera on the A-pillar of the driver’s seat, which is expected to provide fatigue driving monitoring and other functions. The wrap-around layout with contrasting shades of gray, blue, and black creates a very smooth overall effect. The new car comes standard with a dual suspended large screen across the entire range.
The torsional stiffness of the seal’s body reaches 40500Nm/°, and CTB technology improves space utilization. Compared to traditional structures, the seal reduces the height of the body by 10mm when the interior space height is the same, resulting in a more sporty overall posture
