Formula 5

The Leopard 5 is the first model of Formula Leopard under BYD, equipped with a DMO super hybrid off-road platform, including a new hybrid non load bearing architecture and off-road dedicated hybrid architecture, providing off-road performance for the vehicle.

The overall design of the new car is square. The front face is equipped with two prominent through type light strips, forming a circular light strip with the outer light source of the headlights. The entire headlight design is square and more retro, with the Equation Leopard logo placed in the center. Below is a slightly protruding black bumper and silver protective plate, enhancing the off-road atmosphere.

The Leopard 5 is built on the new hybrid platform DMO and adopts a non load bearing body structure. It is equipped with front and rear dual motors, with a maximum power of 500kW and an acceleration time of 4 seconds from 0-100 kilometers per hour. The comprehensive range reaches 1200km. The Leopard 5 is equipped with front and rear axle differential locks, central electronic control differential locks, forming three locks, and is equipped with the same Yunnian-P intelligent body control system and front and rear double wishbone independent suspension to cope with extreme off-road conditions.

Cool interior

The overall interior design is parallel and stable, with many tough lines and square elements embellishments. In addition, both sides of the car door are designed with lock ring armrests and lock ring door buckles, exuding a tough atmosphere. In addition, there are three interior color options available: Eclipse Blue, Shallow Beach Green, and Storm Rice. The center console is equipped with three screens, namely a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition multimedia screen, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument screen, and a 12.3-inch passenger multimedia entertainment screen, and is equipped with a Filink intelligent cockpit.

Strong off-road capability

The Leopard 5 is equipped with a top-level configuration of “front and rear electronic differential locks+energy lock”, supporting low-speed four-wheel drive (4L) and Leopard turn around mode; Its chassis adopts a front and rear double wishbone independent suspension. The top of the line model is equipped with the Yunnian-P active hydraulic body control system, with a maximum adjustable suspension travel of 140 millimeters, a maximum ground clearance of 310mm, and a maximum wading depth of 790mm.

Comfortable interior of intelligent car infotainment

There is a dedicated off-road mode page on the infotainment system, with the right side simulating a 3D car that displays pitch and roll angles, and the left side displaying a series of off-road function options, including smart, snow, sandbars, your brother, mountains, and rocks. The 3D car animation background on the right side also changes in different modes. Under the left tree, there are two options: wading and racing. Equipped with Nappa leather seats, driver’s seat massage, passenger’s massage/ventilation/heating, in car air conditioning compressor refrigerator, and trunk electric suction door.
